My journey began with AIESEC during my university years in Istanbul, where I progressed from a local volunteer to the Regional Director for the MENA region in the Netherlands. This experience shaped my leadership skills, albeit extending my graduation timeline—a decision I've never regretted.
From there, I pivoted to marketing at Henkel but soon felt the allure of the agency world. For four enriching years, I immersed myself in a dynamic ad agency environment, collaborating with creative minds and multinational clients. However, my passion for tech led me to Yandex, where I spent five transformative years wearing multiple hats—from product marketing to user acquisition, culminating as the Head of Marketing/PR.
The pandemic brought unexpected shifts, leading to Yandex's closure in Turkey. Yet, every end heralds a new beginning; I embraced this as an opportunity. I joined the burgeoning Podbee Media, aiding in its ascent as one of Turkey's premier podcast networks. Within months, we conducted groundbreaking first market research on podcast listening habits, created the product portfolio for sales team and even secured strategic sponsorship within 3 months.
Now, I'm leveraging all my experiences as a part of Spotify's Consumer Marketing team in Milan, overseeing growth markets like Turkey and Poland. Here, I've driven impactful campaigns, localised iconic projects like "Wrapped" and significantly boosted monthly active users through different initiatives. As I look ahead, I'm exhilarated by the prospects awaiting in these vibrant markets.
